Newah Organization of America (NOA) cordially invite you to join with your family and friends to attend this year’s Nepal Sambat 1136 (the National Era of Nepal) Celebration commemorating our national hero Shankhadhar Sakhwa.Nepal Sambat is an indigenous creation of its legend and a unique calendar named after our country. Nepal Sambat is a symbol of Nepal’s glory, national unity and pride of all Nepalese people.

Please come and meet chief guest of the event Nepalese Ambassador His excellency Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki, Special Guest Speaker, prolific writer and social worker Mr. Rajiva Shanker Shresta from Sikkim, India, and special guest Mr. Kiran (Ron) Sitoula, Vice Mayor of Town of Indian Head. Mr. Shrestha is presenting “The Newars in Sikkim: Historical, Cultural, Social and Literary Activities – A Brief Introduction”. We will also have an informative presentations on Nepal Sambat and Shankadhar Sakhwa and NOA activities in USA and Nepal.
