For the first time in the US, the Newah Organization of America (NOA) organized a public Karunamaya Puja, which was held on Sunday May 02, 2010, in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

On behalf of NOA, the executive committee first of all would like to extend its sincere thanks to all attendees, including His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, first Secretary Mr. Ananda Sharma, Second Secretary Mr. Gaurishwor Regmi, and their family members who came to support the puja. The committee would also like to extend its sincere thanks to all of the individuals and representatives of organizations for their unconditional support and financial contributions to make the puja a success with almost 200 attendees. The committee extends its special thanks to Dr. Dina Bangdel, who coordinated this puja, and Newah priest Dr. Naresh Man Bajracharya, who performed the traditional puja.
