NOA Activities Period May 25, 2008 through May 23, 2009
On Sunday May 25, 2008: NOA held its 7th Annual Convention and general meeting and announced the elected new EC members at NOVA community college at Annandale, Virginia. NOA also published its annual newsletter Laskus.
On Saturday June 21, 2008: NOA president Mr. Rajesh Shrestha and Secretory Mrs. Babita Shrestha participated ANS’s Annual Summer Picninc at Springfield, Virginia.
On Sunday June 29, 2008: NOA held the Hand over meeting at President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha’s resident, Woodbridge, Virginia
On Friday July 4 through Saturday July 05, 2008: NOA president Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, Second Vice president Mr. Balaram Joshi, East Coast EC member Mr. Ravi Pradhan, Treasurer Mr. Eros Tuladhar, EC members Mr Jayambu Ranjit, Mr. Roshan Shrestha and Mr. Shreejan Tuladhar and the advisors to president Dr. Prajol Joshi, Dr. Maheshor Baidya and Dr. Sugandha Tuladhar participated the ANA Convention hosted by BANA in Baltimore, Maryland.
On Saturday July 5, 2008: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha and East Coast EC member Mr. Ravi Pradhan participated the dinner reception for Patrons and Life members hosted by NPPA, Baltimore, Maryland.
On Sunday July 13, 2008: NOA held a talk program with Dr. Nareshman Bajracharya. The program was about a Unique Features of Newah Buddhism. Dr. Dina Bangdel who is the Associate Professor at the Department of Art History in Virginia Commonwealth University brought the proposal. The talk program was held at Fairfax Regional Library in Faifax, Virginia.
On Sunday August 10, 2008: NOA and NPPA hosted a joint Summer Annual Picnic at Wheaton regional Park, Wheaton, Maryland.
On Sunday August 10, 2008: NOA Vice president Mr.Ganesh Kayestha participated the first Annual meeting of Nepalese American Senior Community (NASC) in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
On Sunday September 02, 2008: NOA president Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, East Coast EC member Mr. Ravi Pradhan, General Secretory Mr. Season Shrestha, EC member Mr. Jayambu Ranjit and Mr. Shreejan Tamrakar participated,”An Evening with the Legend” a dedicated program for Mr. Raja Ram Poudyal organized by “Team 8848” in Baltimore, Maryland. On behalf of NOA, President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha presented an appreciation certificate to Mr. Poudyal.
On Sunday September 14, 2008: NOA president Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, First Vice President Mr. Ganesh Kayetha, Second Vice President Mr. Balaram Joshi, Secretory Mrs. Babita Shrestha, EC members Mr. Jayambu Ranjit and Mr. Shreejan Tamrakar participated the 8th Annual Summer Picnic hosted by Radiao Dovaan in Rockville,
Maryland.
On Sunday September 21, 2008: NOA held the first Executive Committee meeting at Pohic Regional Library, Burk, Virginia.
On Sunday October 11, 2008: NOA EC Member Mr. Shreejan Tamrakar and East Coast EC Member Mr. Ravi Pradhan participated in Annual Dashain and Tihar Mela, Joseph Paris, Baltimore, Maryland.
On Saturday October 18, 2008: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, First Vice president Mr. Ganesh Kayestha and Second Vice president attended the participated the Annual Dashain Tihar Mela organized by ANS in Arlington, Virginia.
On Sunday October 19, 2008: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha participated in the open house tea party reception hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C.
On Saturday, October 25, 2008: NOA invited the general public for a rare session of talk program with Ven. Dhammavati Guruma and Ven. Monk Bhante Kondanya at Burk Center Liibrary in Burk, Virginia.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2008: NOALC organized Mha Puja Celebration at NOA President Mr. Rajesh and Mrs. Rohini Shrestha’s resident, Woodbridge, Viginia.
On Sunday November 02, 2008: NOA launched a successful Nepal Sambat 1129 program in Baltimore, Maryland
On Sunday November 08, 2008: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, First Vice President Mr. Ganesh Kayestha, Second Vice President Mr. Balaram Joshi, General Secretory Mr. Season Shrestha, Secretory Mrs. Babita Shrestha, EC Member Mr. Jayambu Ranjit, Mr. Shreejan Tamrakar, East Coast EC Member Mr. Ravi Pradhan, and NOALC Gurubaa Mr. Basav Rajopadhyaya participated in NPPA’s Annual Convention and General meeting, Shady Grove Middle School, Gaithersburg, Maryland.
On Saturday, November 22, 2008: NOA launched a successful Nepal Sambat 1129 program with guest of honor Janakavi Mr. Durga La Shrestha (Khobilu), special guest; a legendary Nepali artist Mr. Madan Krishna Shrestha at Kemp Mills Elementary School, Silver Spring Maryland.
On Sunday November 23, 2008: NOA held a meeting with Janakavi Mr. Durga Lal Shrestha, Legendary Artist Mr. Madan Krishna Shrestha, Mr. Aditya Man Shrestha, Pohic Regional Library, Burk, Virginia.
On Sunday, November 30, 2008: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha participated in the Farewell Program of Honorable Nepali Ambassador to United States of America Dr. Suresh Chandra Chalise, Sherwood regional Library, Alexandria, Virginia.

On Saturday, May 02, 2009: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha participated in the DC Tourism Exp/DC Passport Open House at Nepali Ambassador’s resident, Washington , D.C.
On Sunday May 03, 2009: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, NOALC Gurumas (teachers) and students participated the DC Tourism Exp/DC Passport. Guruma Mrs. Sunita Shrestha performed a Newar Dance at the event, Washington, D.C.
On Sunday May 17, 2009: NOA President Mr. Rajesh Shrestha joined spring clean up of new property of Nepal Educational and Cultural Center at Poolesville, MD organized by NECC.
