Dear NOA Life Members, friends and community members,
Newah Organization of America (NOA) would like to thank all the participants for coming together to celebrate Pahaan Chare (पाहां चर्हे ), Biskaa Jatra (बिस्का: जात्रा ) and Bunga Dyo Jatra (बुङ्ग द्यो जात्रा ) on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Windsor Green Community Center, Greenbelt, Maryland. NOA would like to extend its gratitude to all the food and drinks contributors for the event
During the celebration a delicious traditional Newah feast was served and video clips of Pahaan Chare (पाहां चर्हे ), Biska Jatra (बिस्का: जात्रा )and Bunga Dyo Jatra (बुङ्ग द्यो जात्रा ) celebration in Nepal were shown. Everybody enjoyed the videos, especially the kids ! We hope this celebration gave a glimpse to our younger kids of Newah rich culture and traditions.
We also celebrated a special Birthday of our NOALC student Mr. Aryan Shrestha during the event.
