It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Newah Organization of America’s 18th National Convention and General Meeting in the Washington, DC Metro area. Please mark your calendar for Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25, 2019 for the annual gathering.
This year, we are having a very interesting and informative Convention foryou. Renowned Newah scholar, researcher and Prof. Dr. Chunda Bajracharya as a Keynote Speaker from Nepal. Ms. Bajracharya is also well known on scholar circles with an interest in Nepal Bhasa, literature and Culture. H.E. Nepalese Ambassador Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki is also attending as a Chief Guest Speaker this year.
NOA Convention and General Meeting 2019 will be an interactive and vibrant program. We have talented and renowned artists from the DVM (District of Colombia, Virginia & Maryland) area, along activities for kids and culture shows by NOALC students. All celebration is complete with traditional Newah hospitality and cuisine – Samay Bajee and Bhoye (Dinner).

4:30 PM – 5.30 PM: Group Panel Discussion
5:30 PM– 6.00 PM : Graduate Honor Program
6:00 PM to 6:30 PM: Kumari Rath Project Documentary Presentation 2018
6:30 PM – 7.00 PM: Traditional Newah Buffet
7:00 PM – 9.00 PM:Cultural Programs and certificate distribution
