On behalf of the Newah Organization of America Language center (NOALC), we would like to cordially invite you and your family to join us for Mha-Puja Celebration. Please take this an opportunity to purify our body, mind and soul for good health and peace over the year.
Mha Puja, The worship of inner self is very unique festival of Newah people. Mha puja is purification, strengthening and understanding to oneself. NOALC (Newah Organization of America Language Center) has been celebrating Mha-puja with friends and family for many years now. The main purpose of this Mha- Puja celebration is to expose our kids to our unique culture.
Contribution: $20/person for first two person and additional $10/person for the same family.
Current and Past NOALC Students FREE
KIDS under 10 is free
(Cost includes puja samagri, sagun, bhoye, supplies and venue rental)
NOTES:
Please try to be at the venue by 4:30 PM to help in preparation of Manda.
Please bring your kids on time so they can actively participate in this ceremony and
Make Manda and decorate. It is an opportunity for them to learn Newah culture and tradition by being part of it.
Please bring your own Tashi Bwo (Falful) and Marichari (Sweets), Jwolan, Swan Ma (flower garland) and Masala packets including Bhogte (Grapefruit) and Walnut. You are requested to take back those items with you after puja.
Please bring Tapuli for Mha Puja.
Sari or kurta suruwal with shawl for married/unmarried woman.
Please all participants wear proper attire/dress.
