Dear NOA Life Members, friends and community members,
The Newah Organization of America (NOA) families are deeply sad to share sudden passing of NOA Life Member Ms. Sunita Amatya’s beloved father and NOA’s great supporter and volunteer Mr. Sudin Amatya’s grandfather Mr. Prem Lal Shrestha at age of 85 years on Friday March 11, 2016 recently at his home at New Baneshor, Kathmandu, Nepal. He was born on December 6, 1931 in Bailachhen, Patan, Nepal. He was survived by wife Mrs. Krishna Pyari Shrestha, a son, 5 daughters, a daughter-in-law, 4 son-in-laws, and 11 grandchildren.
Late Mr. Shrestha was known as an honest, truthfulness and a spiritual person in the community. Mr. Shrestha and his wife had already planned to come USA in May, 2016 to participate and witnessed their grandson’s Mr. Sudin Amatya’s High School Graduation Ceremony. Unfortunately after his morning routine ritual, he ascended to heaven peacefully.
We regret the loss of one of our own very important Newah community members who live life with a good karma and touched many lives. There are many in the community who will mourn deeply his passing as he lives a life of service, love, compassion and excellence.
NOA would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the entire bereaved Amatya family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Sunita and her son Mr. Sudin Amatya and their loved ones during this difficult time. Let’s pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
